"Appreciate Childhood as a unique and valuable
stage of the human life cycle"
Every person individual makeup is influenced
by different factors. It is up to the teacher to recognize each students
uniqueness and build on their particular strengths. As educators we have to
remember to respect each students individual ability and strength, as well as
being sensitive to the fact that each student learns at his or her own speed.
"Appreciate and support the bond between the
child and family"
It
is extremely important for parents to be involve in the educational process of
their child. Without the parents involvement our job would be extremely difficult. In order
for a child to be successful in school the parent and teacher must begin to
form some sort of partnership.
"Respect diversity in children, families, and
colleagues"
As
educators it is important to remember that we have to create an environment where
all people, are respected and cherished.
When people associate with others who different from their own learn to
understand and appreciate diversity. In my educational setting I am committed
to promoting respect for all people. The ideal way for people to appreciate
this diversity is through direct contact.
DEC
"We shall strive for the highest level of
personal and professional competence by seeking and using new evidence based
information to improve our practices while also responding openly to the
suggestions of others".
As
educator it is important that I am able to adapt to change, and that I'm able
to meet these changes in order for learning to take place.
"We shall advocate for equal access to high quality
education and supports for all children and families to enhance their quality
of lives".
Every
child has the right to an quality education. Education can break poverty. As an
educator I will do whatever it takes to support the rights to seeing that every
child receives education.
"We shall support professionals new to the
field by mentoring them in the practice of evidence and ethically based
services".
You
can nurture a new teacher professionally. You can introduce a new teacher to
different things . Having someone to lean on, a person who is an good listener .
With the help of a mentor the new teacher will gain confidence .
